Where serving the bottom of the pyramid and the bottom line happen together. Where innovation pulls from the bottom up and scales at the top of policy and strategy agendas. Where the private sector—the garage startup, the multinational business, the venture and impact investors—can open up the world and discover new opportunities, regardless of geographic and disciplinary boundaries.

Global commerce and trade fundamentally impact business lawyers and—through economic development—provide a vehicle to promote impact in Washington and the world. The Global Business Law Institute builds on UW Law’s strengths in comparative law and international programs, its established global network and the active involvement of world leaders from the business community. The Institute compliments robust programs within the law school — including intellectual property, tax, sustainable international development and law and entrepreneurship — and across the University, thus providing a strong interdisciplinary foundation. The Global Business Law Institute benefits from the UW School of Law’s longstanding global network of companies, firms and universities. Joint projects with various international universities contribute to scholarship and broaden the student experience. The Institute positions UW Law at the center of teaching, research, scholarship, policy and practice relating to global business law.

The research centre was set up with the purpose of becoming a leading centre of research excellence in the field of global business by producing and sharing knowledge to advance understanding of China management.

Welcome to the Global Business Center (GBC) at the University of Washington Foster School of Business. As home to one of only 15 federally funded Centers for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), the GBC works in partnership with the U.S. Department of Education to contribute to the international understanding and competitiveness. The GBC creates transformative global business opportunities in Seattle and abroad for students, faculty, and the business community.

The Center for Global Business (CGB) is the driver of internationalization and global mindset education at the Smith School and a preferred partner for international commerce in the state of Maryland, specifically in regard to training and supporting students, companies, and current and future business leaders to engage successfully in global business.

The Centre for India & Global Business at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, acts as a platform for research and engagement with key partners in industry, academia and policy in India, the UK and across the world. Its primary focus is to understand, promote, and engage with innovators on India’s leading role in the global knowledge economy.
