Institute for Quantitative Social Science

The Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Science (CPNSS), aims to promote research into philosophical, methodological and foundational questions arising in the natural and the social sciences, as well as their application to practical problems. The Centre seeks to achieve this aim by supporting interdisciplinary and inter-institutional endeavours of different kinds and maintaining international collaborations and partnerships. It is home to a number of research projects bringing together academics from different backgrounds, and it hosts researchers pursuing individual research initiatives. A Visitors' Programme gives philosophers of science from all over the world the opportunity to reside in the Centre for a term or an academic year, to participate in existing projects and to pursue their own research.

The Social Science Research Institute brings together researchers with interests in problems that cross the various social and behavioral sciences, including problems that connect with the humanities and natural sciences. We promote multidisciplinary collaboration among such scholars as they work on important social issues that are challenging to address fully from within any given discipline.

Danish Research Data for the Social Sciences (DRDS) is a collaboration between CBS and several research institutions in Denmark with the purpose of creating new and unique Danish register-based data as well as to provide access to relevant international databases for Danish researchers and graduate students in the social sciences.

The Social Sciences Research Institute is a research funding entity for Rice Social Sciences' faculty and graduate students. It provides funding and other awards to promote cutting-edge research in the social sciences.
