Regulatory Economics
Founded in 2005, the Research Institute for Regulatory Economics is a think tank with the goal of building up knowledge on the interplay between competition and demands for regulation. The pursued research focused in the beginning mainly on network-based energy supplying and electronic communications industries. Since 2020 the institute expanded its research focus regarding climate change.The Research Institute for Regulatory Economics convenes international researchers for scientific exchange on the subjects of efficiency measurement in regulated industries, efficacy and effects of regulation as well as the relationship between regulation and investment/innovation. We strive for a productive sharing of knowledge with practitioners, allowing us to ally academic research with politically relevant decision-making processes.

Centre for Excellence in Operations (CEO)
The CEO aims to become the premier centre in Canada at facilitating excellence and innovation in operations. The Centre has two major areas of focus:Research - The Centre has engaged in several government and industry-sponsored projects including network design, capacity planning, and forecasting. For more information on current and past projects, see the Research Projects section. Student Development - The Centre partners with local organizations to provide projects with an Operations Management flavor. Business students bid on projects and complete them as part of their coursework. In addition, the Centre assists in organizing annual events such as the Industry Mixer and the Student Conference on Operations (SCOPE) to raise the profile of operations management among students and the industry.
